If you have never created a Gmail email address, you’ve come to the right place. The following is a very simple, straightforward list of directions on how to quickly create your Gmail account. One of the biggest benefits of this, besides how easy it is to use Gmail as an email service, is the ability to create a Youtube channel to upload your content – which all of us here at Aviator are huge proponents of.
Let’s get started!
1. Go to Gmail.com
Head over to Gmail.com and click on “Create account”.
2. Create Your Account
You will need to choose whether this new Gmail account will be for personal usage (“For myself”) or for your business (“To manage my business”).
3. Enter Your Name
This is how Gmail will identify you across the Gmail products associated with this Gmail account (ex. when you create your Youtube channel). For this example, I went with the first name being “X Ample” and the last name being “Training”.
4. Enter Your Basic Information
This is where you answer questions about your birth date and gender.
5. Choose/Create Your Gmail Name
Based on the first and last name you entered, Gmail will automatically generate suggestions. If you do not want any of the suggested email addresses, you can create your own.
6. Create a Password
After creating your gmail name, you will be asked to create a password. Gmail has pretty strong security in place, but you should still put some consideration into a strong, yet memorable, password.
7. Phone Number Request
You do not have to add your phone number, but you may considerate it for the reasons listed in this section. You can always come back to it if you are not sure or ready yet to give that information.
8. Review
You are almost there! You will see what your new Gmail address looks like, along with how your name will appear to recipients.
9. Privacy & Terms
This is the last step, which you must agree to in order to complete the process. Once you have read over the terms, and agree, you will be able to use your Gmail account!
